Learn to Play Blackjack
Blackjack is one of the most well known and popular casino games, both at online and real casinos. A big reason why the game is so popular is that Blackjack is very much a game of skill. If you are good and play with a good strategy, you have a much greater chance of winning than if you just take a chance and hope for the turn. Blackjack is played by one or more players against a dealer. The goal of the game is to get a higher hand than the dealer without getting over 21. Dressed cards are worth 10, Aces 11 and other cards are worth the number on the cards. You get at least two cards but can then choose to get as many cards as you want, one at a time, until you are satisfied with your sum or when the sum has exceeded twenty-one.
If you get 21 with your first two cards, you have won blackjack and win 1.5 times the bet instead of the normal 1: 1. After two cards, you can choose to double the bet, if you do not have Blackjack. You will then receive an additional card. You also "split" if you have received two identical cards. This means that you can split your hand into two different hands if you double your original bet. With a perfect strategy, it is possible to defeat the bank in the long run under favorable conditions.
This requires that you keep track of which cards have been played before and are called Card Counting. The strategy is based on the player's odds getting better the more high cards that are left in play. The stakes are thus increased when many low cards are played and the odds are to the player's advantage. Card counting is only possible if the deck is not shuffled between the hardens, which is always done in online casinos. The best possible strategy in an online casino is "Basic Strategy", which gives the bank an advantage of just under half a percent.
The following simple strategy is not perfect Basic Strategy but is very close and gives you good opportunities to win. If you are 17 or older, always stay. If you have 16 or lower when the dealer has 7 or higher, you must take another card. If you get 9, 10 or 11 when the dealer has 6 or lower, you must double. You should always split aces and eights but never tens fives or fours. Split nines unless the dealer has 7, 10 or aces. You can play training games for free in lots of online casinos. Playing for real money online is not recommended because despite the above strategy, you will still lose money in the long run. If you still want to take the chance, you should make sure to improve your odds further with the help of a good casino bonus.
